Saunemin Eagles Volleyball 5th/6th Grade Team
St. Mary's Volleyball Extravaganza

The Eagles 5th/6th grade volleyball team played in the 16 team tournament at St. Mary's on Saturday, March 6. The Eagles had an awesome day! They became the tournament Champions!! Nice job girls!

In the first game the Eagles played St. Anthony's. The Eagles won in 2 games 25-10 and 25-15. Leading scorer for the Eagles was Kenzie Roahrig with 10 points and 4 aces. Molly Ruddy and Cassie Einhaus each added 8 points. Ashley Harfst had 5 points. Destiney Riley added 2 points and 1 ace. Bailee Osborn rounded out the scoring with 1 point.

In the second round the Eagles came up against the host school, St. Mary's 6th grade. The Eagles soared to victory in 2 games 25-15 and 25-10. Top scorer for the Eagles was Cassie Einhaus with 14 points. Bailee Osborn had 8 points. Kenzie Roahrig added 7 points and 1 ace. Ashley Harfst had 3 points. Molly Ruddy finished up the scoring with 2 points and 1 ace. 

The third round found the Eagles up against Fieldcrest 6th and it was a hard fought battle. The Eagles fought back to win in 3 games 20-25, 25-23, and 15-10. Leading the Eagles was Kenzie Roahrig with 11 points. Molly Ruddy added 9 points. Bailee Osborn had 5 points. Cassie Einhaus had 4 points with 1 ace. Destiney Riley and Hannah Slown each added 3 points to round out the scoring.

The Championship game was the Eagles vs. Fieldcrest 5th. The Eagles played well and won in 2 games 25-10 and 25-19. The leading scorer for the Eagles was Bailee Osborn with 12 points. Cassie Einhaus and Ashley Harfst each scored 6 points. Kenzie Roahrig added 5 points. Hannah Slown had 3 points. Molly Ruddy  added 2 points to round out the scoring.
