Joliet Laraway Wins IESA 8A State Tournament at PTHS
-3rd straight State Tourney hosted by Eagles

The re-match of last year's IESA 7A matchup between Joliet Laraway and Peoria Limestone Walters ended on the same note, but with a much closer outcome, as the Lancers again took care of PLW, 45-38.  The 8th grade State Tournament was held at PTHS and was hosted by Saunemin Grade School.  This was the 3rd time that Saunemin has had the opportunity to host an IESA State Basketball Tournament.  2 years ago, Saunemin hosted the 7A tourney at PTHS which was won by Cissna Park.  Last year, the event was hosted at Illinois Wesleyan University, and was won by Joliet Laraway.
