Mr. Blair is beginning his eighth year as a full-time teacher at Saunemin Grade School. He teaches Jr. High Science and Social Studies.
He lives in Colfax with his wife of 26 years, Shaila. They share their home with two cats, Thor and Freya, and their German Shepherd puppy, Odin and his new sister,Nisse.
He graduated from the University of Illinois with a degree in History and received his commission in the United States Marine Corps. He served as an infantry officer. During his service he visited or served in over a dozen countries. He served in Panama during the uprisings in 1989 and spent seven months in the Gulf during Desert Shield and Desert Storm. During his service , he was awarded over a dozen awards including the Combat Action Ribbon and two Meritorious Service Medals.
His interest besides History and Science include woodworking, reading, gardening and traveling with his wife. During the winter, he and his brother run a trap line.
