Eagles Open 2010 With Losses at Grand Ridge

Saunemin opened up 2010 with a trip to Grand Ridge Monday night in Jr. High boys basketball, with the host Mohawks coming away with 2 wins.
In the 7th grade game, GR defeated the Eagles, 34-12.
Kyle Eggenberger and Micheil Shelby each scored 5 points to lead Saunemin. Eric Zega added 2 points.
Shelby pulled down 4 rebounds while Tyler Carley and Kyle Walker each handed out an assist.
In the 8th grade contest, GR came away with a 39-21.
Garrison Green led Saunemin with 12 2nd half points. Others scoring were Zak Holtz-Robisky with 5 and Logan Henady and Colin Danforth with 2 points each.
Holtz-Robisky grabbed 8 rebounds and was credited with 2 steals.
The Eagles travel to Mazon on Tuesday afternoon.
