Lowe, Eggenberger, Zega & Carley Enter Baseball Record Book

September 21, 2009

Four Eagles baseball players put their name in the school record book following the 2009 season.

Tyler Lowe recorded 64 At Bats this season, placing him #2 All-Time for a single season.  The record is 70 AB, by Jordan Kociss in the 2006 season.

Kyle Eggenberger entered a number of areas in the records.  Eggenberger scored 25 runs this season, placing him in a tie for 6th All-Time.  Kevin Billington's 36 runs in 1999 is the standard.  Eggenberger also had 28 hits (T-6th), 7 doubles (T-4th), and 23 stolen bases (5th).

In his first season, 5th grader Eric Zega picked up 22 walks, tying him for 4th All-Time in a single season.  The record of 28 is held by Kyle Lowe from 1999.

Tyler Carley entered 3 different pitching lists following his performances this season.

Carley won 4 games which places him 4th All-Time.  Chris Newsome won 6 games in the 2001 season and is still #1 overall.  Carley's ERA of 5.03 is good for 4th All-Time and his 65 strike outs is 5th All-Time.  Newsome holds those records as well with a 2.61 ERA and 147 K's.
