Coach Stoecklin Enters GC Hall of Fame

Prior to coming to Saunemin, and while finishing his degree in Elementary Education at Greenville College, he served as an administrative assistant to Greenville College head football coach Max Bowman. Due to that service, Coach Stoecklin and the rest of the 1990 GC Football team and staff, were inducted into the Greenville College Athletic Hall of Fame at the annual GC Hall of Fame Banquet on April 4, 2008.
The 1990 Panther team finished the season ranked #13 in the nation and became the only GC football team to qualify for the NAIA National Playoffs. The GC team became the first team to qualify for the National Playoffs in only its 3rd year of varsity play. The Panthers were defeated in their first round game against Central Washington which came into the game as the #1 team in the country.
