Saunemin Named Honor Roll School
Saunemin Elementary School has been named an Illinois Honor Roll School for 2007. The District was awarded the Academic Improvement Award by the Illinois State Board of Education for "Exemplary Gains in Performance on the Illinois Learning Standards". To receive this recognition, a school must have made significant academic improvement by either: 1)showing an improvement of at least 7.5 points in state test scores in both reading and math between 2006 and 2007; 2)showing an improvement of at least 15 points in state test scores in both reading and math between 2005 and 2007; or 3)showed an upward trend in the state test results.
