Foundation Approves Staff Grants; Seeking Additional Members
September 26, 2007
The Saunemin Grade School Academic Foundation met Tuesday evening in the school library.
The Treasurer's Report showed a balance of $10,797.77.
4 Grant proposals from staff members were approved by the Foundation Board as well. Totalling just under $1900, the grants include requests for a Human Skeleton that can be used during Health classes, replacement microscopes, a multi-media curriculum for A Diary of Anne Frank, and renewing the school's membership with NAIER.
The Foundation Board is also seeking individuals that would be interested in serving on the Board. Board members attend 3-4 meetings per year, approve expenditures for the Foundation, approve staff Grant applications and award scholarships.
