The beginning of the year we will be discussing the four types of sentences along with classifying our sentences. Besides identifying the parts of speech, we will be working on two types of writing, narrative and expository. The students will be tested on the writing abilities in ISAT. Please practice writing good sentences and paragraphs with your child.
It is very important to work with your child and learn the jingles. The jingles really help the students when they classify their sentences. I also give students test on their jingles to test their knowledge of the them.
