2nd Grade Reads for the Record!

Second Grade participated in Jumpstart's Read for the Record Event on October 8th. Children around the world read The Very Hungry Caterpillar by Eric Carle. Jumpstart started the campaign to encourage as many readers possible around the globe to set a world record by reading the story on the same day. Saunemin's second grade read the story, watched the video, and created their own Hungry Caterpillars using crayons and watercolor paints. The Very Hungry Caterpillar is celebrating its 40th birthday this year. It was published in 1969.
