At beginning of the year we will be discussing the four types of sentences and then proceed in learning how to classify many different sentences. Besides identifying the eight parts of speech, we will be working on two types of writing, narrative and expository. Please practice writing good sentences and paragraphs with your child.
It is very important to work with your child and learn the jingles. The jingles really help your child when they classify their sentences. I also give students quizzes on their jingles to test their knowledge of the them.
