Teachers - Junior High: Josefik, Tammy

Pre-Algebra

by Tammy Josefik

August 18, 2008

Assignments: Expect students to have homework almost every night. The students will have some class time to get started on their assignments, but should not finish the whole assignment. Usually once a week, there will be a quiz or test on the material.

Grades: Homework is worth 10 points. Students will be allowed to work in small groups during class. Quizzes are worth 100 points. Tests will be worth 200 points.

Questions: Students are encouraged to ask questions. Please feel free to e-mail me at josefikt@saunemin.org or call me at the school or home at (815) 686-2431. I will get back to you as soon as I can if I’m not home. Many answers are in the back of the book. Looking up answers and putting them on the paper may give you 10 points on your homework, but will not earn you any points on a quiz or test where it really counts. Use the back to make sure that problems are being completed correctly. It’s a great way to check for understanding.

Cheating: Any students caught copying or allowing another to copy will receive a zero on the assignment.
